We recommend a 3-Step Plan for our clients:

1) Develop a written financial plan that resolves the significant issues important to you:

• What is my current financial condition?

• How should I allocate my investments?

• What kinds of insurance should I have and how much?

• What is the best way to provide for my children’s future education?

• What is the best option to save for my retirement and how much should I set aside each year?

• Should I be concerned about estate planning to reduce future estate taxes?

2) Implement the plan seeking the most reputable, reliable and low-cost providers.  We constantly research the marketplace for the best providers at the lowest possible cost.  Some of the financial providers we have used in the past include: 

• Discount brokers: Charles Schwab, Ameritrade and American Express;

• No-Load Mutual Fund Companies: The Vanguard Group, T. Rowe Price, Fidelity Investments, USAA Investment Services, Janus Capital and The Scudder Funds;

• Trust departments of many of the local Atlanta banks, Employee Credit Unions when available;

• The Principal Financial Group to assist our clients with finding the best insurance solutions to meet their needs.  The Principal represents over 300 independent insurance companies providing a broad array of life, health, group, disability and long-term care insurance to businesses and individuals.

3) Monitor and update the plan at least annually.  Circumstances change and so must your plan!  We are here to help you through the new challenges and changing conditions that affect your financial plan.
